Welcome lovelies! Firstly, a huge thanks for visiting my site, I know how vast the Internet is so it means a lot. I started doing yoga when I was on holiday and decided it was finally time to give it a try. I’d been putting it off for years simply down to pure self-consciousness of my tight hips and hamstrings. 10 years of playing hockey at a fairly high level and being a bit lax when it came to stretching ensured my body was as stiff as a brick.

So off my stiff hamstrings and I set to get our stretch on. The class wasn’t too long and we didn’t do an awful lot, a few sun salutations, some twists, backbends and chest openers. I couldn’t believe how good I felt after. Not only did my body feel more open, my mind felt calmer and clearer. So that’s where my journey began and long may it continue.

When I got back to Manchester, I started going to more yoga classes where I met my first regular teacher – the wonderful Eirian Collinge. Check her out if you’re in Manchester – she does a Reggae Yoga class which is magical. Anyway Eirian started doing classes at my work and I felt myself starting to crave the feeling I got after spending an hour on the mat. There was never any judgement, never any competition, just seriously good vibes.

After a while I decided to take my yoga experience one step further and booked my 200-hour teacher training in Goa my wonderful teachers, The Yoga People. The training was the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life, both physically and mentally. We trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Rocket and will be training in Yin and Mandala in September. I’ve met the most amazing people through yoga from my teachers to my those I've practiced alongside.

One of the main lessons I took out of the training was how important it is to be your authentic self at all times. I approach my teaching with a light-hearted nature. My aim is to empower everyone in my class incorporating a strong physical practice with breathing and meditation with absolutely no judgement. We are all different and our journeys are all different.

Whatever your goal is I would love to work with you. I firmly believe yoga has everlasting positive change to both your body and mind and I can’t wait to be a part of that journey.

Big Love,

Suzi
